Mushtakim, a resident of Jai Nagla Village in Meerut’s Bhavanpur Police Station, lives in Moharka Patti, village in Gajraula Police Station. Mushtakim’s son Tasawwar (21) lived in his father’s maternal house and learned how to lay tiles and cut stones. Family members said he went swimming with friends in Tigri Ganga on June 29. He drowned when he went into deep water while bathing. His body was not found even after several attempts.
On Wednesday afternoon, a body was found floating in the water near Brijghat. People informed the police about it. The police arrived and took the body out. The body was completely decomposed. After the information, the uncle and other people of the youth’s father also reached Moharka Patti. The young man was wearing jeans, saw the same color, and identified him as Taswwar’s son, Mushtakim. The family members of the young people were informed. Weeping relatives reached the spot. The police sent the body for an autopsy. The head of the police station, Sharad Malik, said that after 24 days, the body of the youth who had sunk in the Ganges was found in the Ganges near Brijghat. The body was sent for an autopsy.
