Yamuna Two Meters Away From Danger Mark In Rajpur

Rajpur. The water level of Yamuna river has increased by about one and a half meters on Tuesday night. In six days the water level has increased by about three and a half meters. Now the water level of the river is just two meters away from the danger mark. The water level of Yamuna has reached 106 meters on Wednesday. Due to this, the flow of water has reached very close to Mahdeva situated on the banks of the river. Part of the road leading to the village was inundated. Although people are still moving from here. SDM Sikandra took stock of the situation on Wednesday. In the primary school, meeting with the villagers gave necessary instructions. Arrangements are being made to accommodate people in the Panchayat Bhawan of Jaisalpur, one km away. The water level is only 25 meters away from Mahdeva village. The village has 55 houses and a population of about two hundred and fifty people. Amrahat, Gauriratan Bangar, Maheshpur, Behmai and Pichoura villages in the foothills are expected to be affected due to increase in water.
