Bargaon (Saharanpur). At the annual festival of the Jud Temple of Jadoda Panda, large numbers of devotees offered prayers by paying homage in the samadhi of Baba Narayan Das. There were long lines of devotees all day long to have samadhi darshan. Believers took prasad in the bhandara organized by the temple committee.
On the last Sunday of Ashadh Shukla Paksha, the temple’s annual festival was overcrowded with devotees since the morning. Believers from near and far reach Babas Samadhi to offer Prasad. On Sunday devotees waited in long lines in the temple grounds for their turn to offer prasad. Devotees who offered prasad earned religious gain by tasting the prasad of the Bhandara, which was organized in the temple complexes.
Believers do not stop in five villages
Mahant Sevadas said that after offering Prasad in the temple of Baba Narayan Das, this Prasad cannot be kept in five nearby villages including Jadauda Panda, Jaipur, Ghisarpadi, Kishanpura, Sherpur, otherwise this Prasad will be spoiled. Former BJP MP Raghav Lakhanpal Sharma, Chairman of the UP Backward Classes Commission, Jaswant Saini, Deoband MLA Kunwar Brijesh Singh’s father Dr. Rajkumar Rawat, BJP District President Dr. Mahendra Saini, Anirudh Tyagi, Rishipal Rana also offered prayers in Baba I’s Sampradhi.
During the annual festival, devotees from many states such as Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi took part. Earlier that night, Bhajan Kirtan was organized in the temple of Radha Krishna Sangeet Mandali. There was a collaboration between village chief Shalu Tyagi, Adesh Tyagi, Amit Kumar, Aditya, Sumit, Sandeep, Vidur, Dinesh, Amod, Arvind Tyagi, Anand Tyagi etc.
Followers did not adhere to the Kovid guideline
Thousands of devotees who had gathered on the grounds of the Jud Temple disregarded the rules of social distancing. In the morning, believers were watched for some time taking steps to prevent infection, disinfecting their hands, wearing masks, and social distancing. But at the end of the afternoon the rules were put on hold. However, access to the exhibition grounds was only granted after thermal testing and disinfection by the committee.
