Vinod Verma, from the rural area, gives 21 seedlings to the guardian of each daughter born in his village and 11 to the guardian of a son. 30-year-old Vinod Kumar Verma, a resident of the village of Bhedpur, which borders the city of Shahjahanpur in the Chowk Kotwali region, has been environmentally conscious and active from the start. In 2010-11, Vinod returned to the village from Delhi after taking a course in mass communication. Then he occupied himself with the plantation work. Hundreds of trees are planted with Vinod both in the village and in the surrounding area. During this time, Vinod came into contact with many environmentalists and regularly took part in their seminars.
In the past six months, Vinod has given seedlings to six families in his Bhedpur village. The plants include banyan, peepal, neem, gudhal, etc. Trees are bought from nurseries for 50 to 70 rupees. When this Vinod exercise became a topic of discussion in the area, many people began to join him. Vinod said that at the behest of many young people he was founding such an organization to promote plantations for environmental protection in urban and rural areas. The youth of many of the surrounding villages have joined them. On this environment day, the team will also be introduced to each other.
