Sant Kabir Nagar. The construction work on the Panchayat building in the three-gram panchayats of the Pauli development block is very slow. Eight months ago the first installment of Rs 10.46 lakh for each Panchayat building was released. Except for the foundation level, construction has not yet been completed. Whereas the wall should have been made up to ceiling height. The CDO investigation found one case of less work and more pay. The CDO has expressed strong displeasure. The secretaries concerned were notified and asked for a response. Instructions were given to complete the work in 15 days.
CDO Atul Mishra announced that 54 Panchayat buildings will be built in the district as part of the National Village Self-Employment Campaign. Rs 17.46 lakh will be spent building each Panchayat building. During the investigation it was found that the Panchayat Bhawan is built up to the founding level in the Gram Panchayat Kudwa of the Pauli development block. Whereas in the village of Chakia only a two meter high wall was built. The same is the case with Manjha Kharagpur. The first installment of Rs 10.46 lakh was cleared for the construction of each Panchayat building. The released amount was withdrawn and it was worked very economically. While the wall should be up to ceiling height. Notes were sent to the secretaries asking for explanations. It was warned to finish the wall to the ceiling within 15 days. So that the work can be completed by releasing the next installment. Action will be taken against the person concerned for negligence in this work.
