Women Keep Fast On Gaura Teej, Wished

Shamli/Jalalabad/Jhinjhana. On the occasion of Gaura Teej, women observe fast across the district. Worship Lord Ganesha, Shiva-Parvati in temples and ask for their wishes.
On Thursday afternoon at 1.30 pm, Pandit Pradeep Sharma performed the worship of Shri Ganesh, Shiva-Parvati by the devotees in the Maa Shakambhari Devi temple located in the old vegetable market. Pandit narrated the virtuous story of Gaura Teej to the devotees. The program concluded after Kirtan-Aarti. Neera Jindal, Meenakshi Sharma, Aditi Jindal, Santosh Jindal etc. were present on the occasion. On the other hand, in the Geeta Bhawan hall of Radha Krishna temple in Jalalabad town, housewives observed a fast on Hartalika Teej and listened to the story. The priest of the temple, Pandit Pranav Bhardwaj narrated the story of Hartalika Teej. The women gathered in their homes and worshiped Lord Ganesha and Shiva after listening to the story by observing this fast. Yogesh Devi, Santosh Rani, Babita Upadhyay, Rama Garg, Mahima Ruhela, Isha Arora were present in the story.
In Jhinjhana on Thursday, women worshiped on Gaura Teej (Haritalika Teej) by observing a waterless fast. On the day of Teej in the Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada, from the morning itself, good brides and married women keep a fast with great devotion for the protection of their honeymoon and the happiness and prosperity of their families. In the Gopal temple of the town and the ancient Panchmukhi Shiva temple, women listened to the nectar story of Maa Gaura and Shiva. In which women like Savita Devi Sharma, Bimlesh, Bhavna Mittal, Neera Mittal, Pinky Sharma, Mithlesh, Seema, Kusum, Chanda Bajaj, Madhu Verma, Komal Rani etc. were present.
