Agra. In 52 places in the city’s sewers, such an obstacle of negligence has been created, due to which the streets and streets of the city are submerged in monsoons. Water pipes, sewers, electrical cables, junction boxes have been installed from inside the drains, trapping the garbage and blocking the flow.
The city company has instructed the Jalkal department to lay the water pipeline and remove the Torrent Power cables upstairs. According to the mayor, in many places including Torrent Powers Rambagh, Awas Vikas, Yamunapar, the drainage of the sewers has been stopped due to cables and therefore there is a possibility of a major accident due to waterlogging.
The Jalkal department’s 28-inch aqueduct came out through the Langde post. Here the pipeline has come out of the inside of the drain, causing dirty water to be added to the pipeline via the leak, while in monsoons, when the water flows quickly, this water stops after hitting the pipeline. The water fills up like a dam and comes out via the pipeline. After two feet of waterlogging, this water can continue to leak out. There are also 22 places in the Aawas Vikas colony where the pipeline has to be laid. Jalkal was handed over to the general manager upon completion of his project.
Three days ago, Smart City laid a water pipe from the Gobar Chowki drain on Fatehabad Road, for which Minister of State Dr. GS Dharmesh had them removed upon popular complaint. Once the drain begins, the water can no longer pass. The water would come out of the top of the pipe two feet in diameter, so the drain would always be two feet long filled with water. Likewise, water and power lines have come out of the middle of the drain. Thick electrical cables have emerged from the drain, blocking the water.
For the laying of water pipes coming out through drains, the general manager of Jalkal was hired to draw up a complete plan. This work will begin in the residential area. Torrent Power was asked to remove the power cables running through the drains. This will stop the flow of water. All the garbage gets stuck in the same cables and pipes, which means that waterlogging begins behind them. – Naveen Jain, mayor
