In order to supply around 50,000 residents of Robertsganj with clean drinking water, the pipeline was laid as part of the drinking water rehabilitation drinking water system. For the laying of the pipeline by the Jal Nigam executive body, the streets of the city were dug and the pipeline was laid. During this time the road was dug from the level crossing to Dharamshala Chowk and the Mahila Police Station via Hydil Maidan to Badhauli Chowk.
Dharmendra Kumar Singh, SDO of Telecom Corporation of India Limited (BSNL) said that BSNL’s cable had been cut due to street carvings. The department lost millions of rupees in cutting cables. In order to replace the disconnected BSNL cables during the road ditch at different locations in the city, a letter was sent to the Jal Nigam asking for compensation of Rs 47 lakhs. But Jal Nigam gave no money.
Jal Nigam’s XEN Phanindra Rai said the BSNL cable disconnection case was brought to light. The contractor who carried out the laying of the pipeline was instructed to resolve the matter. The matter has been resolved.
