Director Vivek Agnihotri continues to make headlines these days with his statements. Recently, the filmmaker has again fiercely targeted Bollywood. Actually, Vivek has called Bollywood blind, deaf and dumb for not learning from the success of his movie ‘The Kashmir Files’ and the Kannada movie ‘Kantara’. Vivek is often seen taking aim at Bollywood.
Vivek tweeted and wrote: ‘4 short films with no stars, no marketing and no distribution support. The Kashmir Files, Kartikeya 2, Kantara and Rocketry have earned around Rs 800 million at the box office. The total production cost of 4 movies is less than 75 million rupees. Is Bollywood blind, deaf and dumb who don’t understand and learn simple math?’

Let us tell you that Vivek’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ was made on a budget of about Rs 15 million. Even after that, the movie turned out to be a huge success. The film earned 341 crores worldwide. Similarly, ‘Karthikeya 2’ was also made with a budget of around Rs 15 crore and the film earned Rs 120 crore. At the same time, ‘Rocketry’, a film budgeted at Rs 25 crore, earned Rs 50 crore. While a low budget film like Rishabh Shetty’s ‘Kantara’ has also earned over Rs 250 crore, and is the third highest grossing Kannada film of all time. ‘Kantara’ is still making waves in theaters.
