Angry villagers protested on Friday over the burnt transformer not being replaced yet. During this, slogans were raised against the officials of the electricity department. Told that there is a lot of trouble without electricity in the sultry summer. Villagers of Dumri told that a hundred KVA transformer installed in the village had burnt down a week ago due to short circuit. After this, the village head had informed the officials of the electricity department. Despite this, the burnt transformer has not been replaced yet. Villagers said that due to lack of electricity, the night is passing in the dark in the sultry summer. Even people’s submersible pumps are not working. Due to this there is acute shortage of drinking water. And the mobile is not getting charged. Told that the wires in the village have also become dilapidated. The villagers have demanded to replace the transformer at the earliest, drawing the attention of the higher officials. In this regard, Junior Engineer Ghanshyam Kumar told that there is no transfer in the store. Transformer will be replaced as soon as it becomes available. Those who protested include former chief Premnath Singh, Santosh Ram, Appu Tiwari, Harinarayan Singh, JP Maurya, Laxman Gupta, Rajendra Prasad, Lavkush, Balwant etc.
