Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar had previously announced his collaboration with director Vignesh Shivan for his upcoming film, AK 62. The film was set to hit the flats but a shocking update hit the news. Vignesh Shivan left the project leaving Ajith Kumar to search for a new director. However, recent reports suggest that a new director has been found to bring the actor on board. After the separation of Ajith Kumar and Nayanthara’s husband Vignesh Shivan, the long-awaited film has been postponed. However, the movie will soon be back on track as the filmmakers have found a new director. Possibly titled AK 62 which is likely to be directed by Magizh Thirumeni. Filmmaker Magis impressed the actor with his narration for the film. And he ousted Vignesh Shivan from the director’s chair shortly after speculation about her split. The collaboration of Ajith Kumar and Magizh Thirumeni will reportedly be announced soon. If the reports are to be believed, Magizh Thirumani will be the frontrunner for Ajith Kumar’s next film. Magizh Thirumeni predominantly works in the Tamil film industry. She has worked as an assistant to directors Selvaraghavan and Gautham Vasudev Menon. Independently, she directed five films namely Mundhinam Parthathene (released in 2010), Thadaiyara Thakka (2012), Megaman (2014), Thadam (2019) and Kalaga Thalaivan.
Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film AK 62 is being financed by Lyca Productions. This is the first collaboration between the Tamil bannerman and superstar Ajith Kumar. The biggest action movie is expected to feature Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha Krishnan in lead roles. The two actresses made their last appearance together in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan-I.
