Flood victims in Varanasi are not getting relief even in relief camps. Somewhere the people are upset due to the rain and the facilities provided by the administration. When Jal Shakti Minister Mahendra Singh came on Sunday, the flood victims got late afternoon to eat puri vegetables and in the morning bread was also available for breakfast. On Monday, some people got laxatives after eating khichdi at Dhelwaria Primary School. At the same time, the bread available in the morning in Navyug Vidya Mandir was also not found.
On Monday, due to the rise in the water level of Ganga and Varuna, the number of people in the camp has exceeded the capacity. The problems of food and living in the camps have increased. Six flood relief camps have been set up at Dhelwaria and Saraiyan, with 97 from 17 families at Dhelwaria Primary School and 103 from 20 families at Navyug Vidya Mandir. See next slides…
