For the success of the massive plantation campaign, the government had appointed Consolidation Commissioner Bhagelu Ram Shastri as the district’s node officer. The Consolidation Officer along with DM Sujit Kumar, SP Radheshyam Vishwakarma, DFO RS Yadav started the campaign by planting a mango sapling by reaching the Government Tuberculosis Hospital in Korron next to the headquarters.
After that, the officers planted seedlings after reaching the marked spots. Meanwhile, the knot officer informed the officers that the goal should be achieved by a massive plantation drive. At the same time, care should be taken to ensure that the plants to be planted are cared for evenly. DM said trees play an important role in maintaining environmental balance.
