The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UPMSP) recently decided to cancel the 10th and 12th grade examinations before a committee in view of the circumstances resulting from the corona pandemic. Thereafter, the UP government had sought proposals from the district school inspectors to formulate an assessment policy to prepare the results of grades X and XII students. It is now speculated that the government could announce the evaluation criteria soon.

Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma says a committee has been formed, chaired by additional Chief Secretary Aradhana Shukla, to prepare the evaluation criteria for the students’ bottom line. Grades are awarded to students based on the panel’s recommendations. This decision will help regularize the next academic session. Online lessons can be started soon for the 11th grade students.

Let us announce that on June 7th there was a meeting with the school inspectors of each district under the chairmanship of the additional chief secretary for secondary education. The evaluation policy for creating the final result for grades 10 and 12 was discussed. Now the result is to be created on the basis of an internal evaluation. The board may also announce that students who are dissatisfied with the results of the UPMSP assessment criteria will be given the opportunity to take the exam once the COVID-19 situation returns to normal.

This year more than 56 lakh candidates have registered for the Uttar Pradesh Grade 10 and 12 Board Exams. According to official information, 29.94.312 students in the 10th grade and 26.10.316 students in the 12th grade will be promoted to the next grades without an examination this year.
