Even after the new chairman Sanjay Shrinet joined the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC), many questions remain unresolved. During the PCS exam, there was a stalemate regarding the replenishment, the issuance of the waiting list along with the results of all recruitment exams, the issuance of cutoff grades and sheet music on the day of the result. The chairman of the commission has now said that if Kovid’s situation normalizes, he will meet with the competitive students every Thursday and the secretary of the commission on Wednesday to know their problems and try to resolve the problem in 15 days to solve. According to the President’s statement, there is hope among the competitive students and they are preparing a long list of demands to meet the President.

During the tenure of Dr. Many important changes have been made to Prabhat Kumar, the former chairman of the commission, and most of those changes have been controversial. Candidates consistently claim that the commission has completed scaling PCS-2019. Its impact has also been seen on the final PCS exam selection score and Hindi belt candidates have suffered the most. At the same time, the commission issued contract notes, grade sheet and final answer key on the same day as the result of the recruitment test, but this process has now also been discontinued. This makes it difficult for the candidate to assess. The candidates constantly demand that the waiting list be issued with the results of all recruitment exams so that the chances of being selected for the long-term candidates can increase.
There is a constant controversy surrounding the issue of women’s reservation. Due to the benefit of the horizontal reservation granted to female candidates from other countries in the UPPSC’s recruitment examinations, the chances of female candidates being selected for the UP have been greatly reduced. At the same time, the candidates suffered the greatest setback due to the changed standard of success in the Pre and Mains. If 18 times the number of positions in the preliminary examination and 3 times the number of candidates in the main examination were previously declared successful, it was reduced to 13 or twice during the term of office of the former chairman. The candidates are constantly resisting it. Candidates also raised questions about the evaluation of copies and requested that arrangements should be made to scan the copies and view them online. Candidates have also claimed there is an opportunity to manipulate direct hiring based on job interviews only. In such a situation, merit should be prepared by adding the grades of the screening test. At the same time, the requirement for four chances in the PCS J exam is to be abolished. Prashant Pandey, media officer for Competitive Chhatra Sangharsh Samiti, says that time will be sought on behalf of the committee to meet with the chairman of the commission and that all these issues will be brought up before him. The chairman is also required to cooperate fully with the CBI investigations so that the corruption suspects can be punished if the commission is hired in the past.
