The countdown to the office of District President of Panchayat in Mainpuri has begun. This time there is a direct battle between SP and BJP. Where BJP wants to build a fortress on SP land. Out of the total of 30 members of Zilla Panchayat, the number of SP supported members is 13 and the number of BJP supported members is eight. One member is from Congress and eight members are independent. Both parties are trying to win. The police action against MPs ahead of the election has heightened concerns of the SP candidate.
