Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma reached Intensive Area Development Committee Sewapuri on Friday. Here the girls of Girls Inter College welcomed him by presenting a musical program. He planted 1000 bamboo saplings in the ashram premises. After this he reached Khadi Gram Udyog Vidyalaya Gandhi Ashram Campus Sewapuri. He inaugurated Charkha Mechanic Beautician and Agarbatti Training Center at Khadi Gramodyog Vidyalaya operating in the Ashram premises. He said that women would become self-reliant by taking training from Khadi Village Industries School in Model Block and in the parliamentary constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Earlier bamboo was considered as a tree, for which permission had to be taken to cut it, but the Prime Minister has recognized it as a plant. By which every person can plant and cut the bamboo plant. Income can be increased by using it in the manufacture of incense sticks.

On the occasion of birthdays of Lord Vishwakarma and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, free tool kits were distributed to 675 beneficiaries under the Handicrafts Development and Promotion (IDPH) scheme at Deendayal Upadhyaya Hastkala Sankul (TFC) located in Lalpur on Friday. In this 500 tool kits were distributed to artisans of wood, stone, metal and enamel under IDPH scheme and tool kits for tailoring, carpentry, confectionery, barber work were distributed to 175 beneficiaries under Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana. On receiving this, the faces of the beneficiaries blossomed. On this occasion, Union Minister Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey said that the number of schemes for workers, artisans and skilled workers in UP at present has never been implemented before.
