Delhi:

Ukraine received Starlink satellite internet terminals from Elon Musk’s SpaceX on Monday, amid continued attacks by Russia.

Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov shared a photo of a truck laden with terminals on Twitter. “Starlink – here. Thank you, @elonmusk,” he tweeted.

“You’re welcome,” Musk replied.

The move came after the minister urged Mr Musk to provide Starlink stations in war-torn Ukraine, where internet services were disrupted following military operations by Russia.

“When you try to colonize Mars – Russia tries to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully descend from space – Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civilian people! We’re going to provide you with the Starlink station to Ukraine.” Says for,” Mr. Fedorov tweeted at the SpaceX CEO. ,

The billionaire previously donated 50 satellite terminals to restore internet in Tonga, whose telecommunications network was severely disrupted by a tsunami this year.

Starlink services provide access to broadband internet connections around the world. The company on Friday launched another 50 Starlink satellites and many more are to be placed in Earth orbit.
