NEW DELHI: An Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft carrying 119 Indians and 27 foreigners landed at Hindon airport here from Romanian capital Bucharest on Thursday morning, sources said.
He told that these Indians and foreigners were trapped in Ukraine due to the Russian military offensive that started on 24 February.
This was the 17th flight operated by the Air Force to rescue people trapped in Ukraine.
India is evacuating its citizens from neighboring countries of war-torn Ukraine such as Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland as Ukraine’s airspace has been closed since February 24.
Sources said that the IAF aircraft landed in Delhi around 5.40 am on Thursday in a C-17 military transport aircraft.
He said that the Minister of State for External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh received the Indians and foreigners at the airport.
