Ayodhya. Two bike-borne villains stole jewelry worth around two to four lakh rupees from two brothers with the power of a gun on Thursday near Shuklahiya Mor on the Khajurhat-Dharmganj road in the Kotwali region.
The robbery in broad daylight caused a stir in the area. The police arrived and started the investigation. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday evening.
Aside from Ramanath Soni aka Ramau Soni Khajurhat, a resident of the old Khajurhat market in the Kotwali area, Prithviganj market has long run a saraf shop.
The victim, Ramanath Soni, said he received a call from Gopalapur village around 3 p.m. Thursday evening to buy the client’s jewelry. Afterwards, his two sons Pradumna Soni and Ashish Soni drove from home to the village of Gopalapur around 3:30 p.m. to distribute jewelry on their bicycles.
On the Khajurhat-Dharamganj road, as soon as Shuklahiya Mor reached the fountain of the state tube, two cyclists passed and stopped them. Both villains had a scarf tied around their faces.
Both villains took out the pistol and put it away, after breaking the Diggi, taking out the jewelry pouch and threatening them, they fled. The bag contained one and a half kilograms of silver jewelry, three gold sikars, three gold earrings, and jewelry worth about 4 lakh rupees.
When they both informed the police, the police arrived and started an investigation. SP Rural Shailendra Kumar and policeman Satyendra Bhushan Tripathi arrived at Kotwali and questioned the two brothers. Kotwal Shyam Sundar Pandey said the incident was being investigated.
