At around 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning, 60-year-old Burma Devi died after being buried under the rubble of a collapsed house in Mirzapur Sai village. His sons Brijesh Kumar and Durvesh Kumar, daughter-in-law Khushboo, two-year-old granddaughter Muskan, three-year-old Raunak and Harveer were injured. The responsible inspector, Sanjeev Kumar Tyagi, who arrived on site, took the injured to the district hospital.
When Brijesh and Harveer’s condition became critical, they were referred to Agra. Burma Devi family members said that during the morning rain, lightning bolts struck at high speed and fell on the house, causing the house to collapse. The inspector in charge said the body was handed over to the relatives after the autopsy.
In Nagla Bari Village, Nidhauli Kalan Police Station, the roof of Jitendra Kumar’s house collapsed. Jitendra’s wife Anita, daughter Pratibha, sister-in-law Poonam, niece Rishika and nephew Rishabh were injured in the accident. The injured were admitted to the district hospital. The responsible inspector Shambhunath Singh said there was information about the roof collapsing. The injured were taken to the county hospital by the villagers.
