Actress Ayesha Kapoor, who recently made her television debut with Sherdil Shergill, is winning hearts with her performance on the show. During a recent interview, Ayesha talked about her journey in show business so far and shared that she wanted to be an actress since childhood. Although her parents support her today, some of her relatives are upset with her choice and don’t talk about her.

She said: ‘When I was 8 years old, my mother made my portfolio. She also did some commercials and a movie as a child artist with the late actor Om Puri. I have also made a film of the South. This got me interested in acting. But then my mother started worrying about my studies, so she asked me to pay attention to her. Even after growing up, my love for acting remained and I told my parents about it, but then they didn’t support me. She asked me to dedicate myself to another profession. My whole family, including my relatives, was against it.”

The actress did not give up her dreams and decided to go ahead with her decision to venture into show business. “I started making movies and music videos in 2019 and acted in the movie Love Street. I also did some web projects and now I am also part of television. Seeing my hard work, my parents accepted me as an actor, but some of our relatives are still against it. They don’t talk to me and for strange reasons they don’t even let them talk to me. But I don’t let these things affect me because I’m sure that over time they will understand and improve. It’s been a rollercoaster ride for me, but I’m enjoying it. I hope to continue making my parents proud with a good job.”
