Actress Anushree Sahu, known for her roles in shows like Anupama, Tamarind, and Pandya Store, is receiving a lot of love and appreciation for her performance in Raksha Bandhan, starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar.
The actress played the role of Geeta Bhabhi in the film, who shares a good relationship with the sisters. During a recent interview with BT, Anushree talked about her journey from TV series to the film industry, sharing, “The road to success is never easy, but there is a destination. From doing bit parts on TV to full-on movie roles, the graph of my career has changed a lot. Obviously, my career change required a lot of work and effort, which I did constantly and the result is incredible. Previously, I only did character roles in TV series, but now, after doing a full role in a movie, the actor in me feels alive and happy.
He further added, “The television industry and the film industry have their own different ways of working. So, I had to make sure that I was fully involved in what was required of me. It was an amazing experience working on a movie and it was different than shooting for a TV show. I am happy with the change in my career chart and I look forward to more such opportunities.
Speaking about the response she is receiving for her performance, Anushree said, “The response has been fantastic and people loved the movie as it is an Indian domestic family drama. The audience was moved and she was able to connect with her siblings. I am receiving a lot of love and appreciation from the audience for my performance in the movie.
