Kanpur IIT and Prasar Bharati will work together on Next Generation Broad Casting Technology. Such broadcast technology will do that people will be able to watch TV channels on cell phone without internet.A competence center for next-generation broadcasting technology will be set up at the IIT. Director Prof. Abhay Karandikar said that people now use cell phones and tablets a lot. A lot of data is given out every day to watch films, series and news channels.

In such a situation, the data of the viewers are not output and the TV channels are also visible to them, a technology is being developed for this. Prasar Bharati will provide financial support. Shashi Shekhar Vempati, CEO of Prasar Bharati, said that this work is being done under Make in India.

A common broadcast infrastructure will be created so that audio and video broadcast content can be transmitted directly to the cell phone. The Center of Excellence will work on direct to mobile broadcasting, convergence with 5G, automatic speech recognition for language subtitles and audio and text query.
The geodesy short term course has started
The National Center for Geodesy (NCG) of the IIT started an online short-term course on geodesy (geo-mathematics) for officials of the high-level surveying of India (SIO) from Monday.

The course lasts two weeks. Teaching is given about space geodesy, fitting calculations, and physical geodesy. Professorship for Civil Engineering Omkar Dixit, Prof. B. Nagarajan and Prof. The participants will listen to the lectures of Balaji Devaraju.
