Trishala Dutt writes about her “Battle Wounds” and “Healing” in her post on Body Positivity

Sanjay Dutt’s daughter Trishala Dutt posted a picture of her stretch marks on her latest Instagram post and wrote a note about body positivity and embracing change. She began the note by saying, “My stretch marks are a sign that my body used to grow faster and at the same time my skin didn’t catch up with it which has now left permanent tears/scars.” Trishala added in her note, “It’s also a reminder that my body was strong enough to take up extra space at a time when I needed it to show the strength and ability to fill specific gaps in my life.” filling a lot of food to give me a momentarily fleeting sense of “fullness”, happiness. Instead it destroyed me. – I’m glad I’m cured of it. They’re not ideal, they’re not what I wanted, but they’re what I got.” Describing the stretch marks as her “battle wounds,” Trishala wrote, “And they’re mine. My battle wounds, over the course of the Years have faded, but I wear them proudly.”

Trishala Dutt is a psychotherapist based in New York. She is the daughter of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and his first wife Richa Sharma, who died of brain cancer. Trishala was raised with her maternal grandparents in the United States, where she currently resides. Her father Sanjay Dutt is now married to Maanayata. They married in 2008 and the couple are parents to twins Shahraan and Iqra.
