Thalapathy Vijay is in the next phase of his career after enjoying the success of his latest release Vaarisu. He is gearing up for his next Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed project as the acting-directing duo reunites once again for a project that has the working title of Thalapathy 67. The film features an attractive cast and newcomer Trisha Krishnan who is incorporated. After announcing the star cast, the crew went to Kashmir to start filming the first sequence. Trisha Krishnan joins Thalapathy Vijay in her highly anticipated film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The cast of the film keeps getting better and better with actors like Sanjay Dutt, Priya Anand, Gautham Menon and others joining. The creators announced the cast by sharing their poster on the microblogging site Twitter. Among others, the newest to enter is Trisha Krishnan, who will share the screen with the actor after 14 years. This will be the fifth film in this pair. The crew flew to Kashmir on Tuesday to begin filming and Trisha was seen boarding the flight. Trisha Krishnan is grateful to be a part of this prestigious project, which includes some of her favorite people and an extremely talented team. The first slot of the as-yet-untitled film will kick off in the picturesque location of Kashmir, India. Some photos of the team flying from Chennai to Kashmir are circulating on the internet confirming that they will start shooting soon. Thalapathy 67 director Lokesh Kanagaraj confirmed that it will be a gangster film and will not be part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. The film is financed by HH Lalit Kumar under Seven Screen Studios. It is a big budget movie co-produced by Jagadish Palanisamy. The cast of the film includes Sanjay Dutt, Priya Anand, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mathew Thomas, and Sandy Master. Thalapathy 67 is scheduled for launch in late 2023.
