Meerut. The Forestry Department and PWD have accelerated the construction of the right track for Kanvad Ganganahar. After the PWD department started the tender on Wednesday, the forestry department is now preparing to move the trees. For this purpose, the junior engineer of the PWD department met with DFO Rakesh Kumar on Thursday.
He asked the forestry department to present the documents on the trees. Around 40,000 trees have to be felled from around 250 hectares of land. In addition, these trees will be moved to Mirzapur and Shivalik. Locations are marked for this.
The forestry office has to do the first work on this 111 km long stretch. Only then will the road construction work be carried out by PWD. For this reason, a call for tenders worth Rs 253 billion will be uploaded on July 8th. In this second part of the forest office, the work of moving the trees is done. In the past, trees were counted in the part. More trees have to be planted than felled. With this in mind, more than 300 hectares are being planted in Mirzapur (Sonbhadra) and more than 140 hectares in the Shivalik hills of Saharanpur.
