Traders called for an economic stimulus relief
Pubic. Upon a call from Ghanshyam Das Garg, President of Western Uttar Pradesh Joint Udyog Vyapar Mandal, traders across the state sent a memorandum to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in their respective districts calling for an economic aid package for the traders.
In Shamli, too, the dealers, under the leadership of the President of the Organization Ghanshyam Das Garg and the District President Suryavir Singh, went to the collector and submitted a memorandum to the DM. The memorandum called for an economic aid package to be put in place for traders in the state who are suffering from a corona infection in order to get their crumbling economy back on track. The memorandum stated that in 2020 the market remained closed for three consecutive months due to the lockdown and in 2021 the economy of the country’s traders collapsed again due to a corona infection by closing the market for the whole month. Employee salaries, utility bills, income taxes and bank interest rates have all risen on them. In such a situation, dealers need an economic aid package. He demanded four months of electricity bills and bank interest and EMI waiver, accident insurance of 10 lakhs for the families of traders who died of corona infection and who are registered in the GST. Subhash Chand Dhiman, Narendra Agarwal, Pankaj Walia, Ravi Sangal, Ramkumar Rai, Mahesh Dhiman, Sukhpal Jangid, Rajesh Jain, Pawan Goyal, Anil Bansal, Ashu Puri etc. were present.
