The machine has arrived for the oxygen plant on Saturday. The preparation of the plant to be set up in the district hospital is in the final stage. At present, the work of four oxygen plants is in the final stage. The process of making wards of 410 beds at different places in the district is being done on a war footing. The exercise of providing oxygen through pipeline in these government hospitals is in the final stage. In the course of preparations, the MCH wing behind the district hospital is converted into an isolation hospital. A separate 100-bed ward has been prepared for children in this hospital. These beds will connect to the oxygen plant. Two oxygen plants have become functional in the district hospital. While the work of making 50-50 bed PICU wards at CHCs of Dumariaganj, Mithwal, Burdpur and Etawa is in the final stage. These will be directly connected to the oxygen plant, so that there is no shortage of oxygen. The department has started arranging ventilators in addition to normal beds in these hospitals. Apart from this, Piku, Mini Piku and ETC (Intensive Care Unit) built at CHC-PHC have also been instructed to remain active. In this regard, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sandeep Choudhary has almost completed the preparations at four CHCs besides MCH wing to deal with the third wave. Separate wards have been prepared for children. Hi-tech facilities in the hospital The PICU and isolation ward of 50-50 beds are ready in the district hospital. Of the 50 beds reserved for PICUs, 20 beds will be of ventilators and 30 beds will be of HDU (High Dependency Unit). Whereas in the isolation ward, in 50 beds, 30 beds will be HDU and 20 beds with hi-tech facilities. All these beds will be oxygen filled. Training of doctors and personnel. In the third wave, 90 medical and paramedical staff, including 12 paediatricians, are involved in running the children’s ward. All of them have been given two-day training in three shifts at the stationary training center of the CMO office.
