Seeing the flood, one remembers the floods of 2003 when the elephant drowned in the Adagada drain. Even on Sunday, the Adgada drain is in spate and water is flowing at a height of about seven meters. MP Tourist Bungalow, bank premises have been flooded. The water in Chitrakoot is increasing due to the opening of the gates due to the overflowing of many dams in Satna district. The people of Unchadih Sakraunha etc villages of Manikpur are trapped in the flood. Many houses in Tarouha are waterlogged. Due to which poor families have started saving their lives while being hungry. In all these three places, a total population of about 50 thousand is surrounded by water. ADM GP Singh, SDM Pooja Yadav, CO Sheetla Prasad, Tehsildar Sanjay Agrahari, Kotwal Virendra Tripathi remained on the banks of Mandakini till late evening. Meanwhile, the administration has conducted two relief camps for the people affected by the floods. Arrangements have been made for lodging and food for outsiders and local people by making Night Basera and Poddar Inter College relief camps. Similarly, in Manikpur also, the SDM has organized a relief camp. On the other hand, the water level of Yamuna river is also increasing in Mau and Rajapur. In view of this, people living on the banks of the river have been alerted. In many villages of these areas, rain water has entered the houses.
