Pubic. The 110 km long Ambala-Shamli motorway will be built with six lanes. This highway will pass through 30 villages of Saharanpur and 12 villages of Shamli District. For this highway, action is being taken to buy land from farmers in 12 villages in Shamli District.
A six-lane new Ambala-Shamli highway is proposed to connect Haryanas Ambala to West UPs Saharanpur, Shamli District. This 110 km long highway will connect the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor Express, which connects Delhi-Shamli and the Saharanpur Highway near Thana Bhawan in Shamli.
Virendra Singh, PIUU General Manager and Project Leader of the Ambala Division, had written a letter to DM Shamli 15 days ago informing about the admission of 24 villages to the district. Later, the Ambala-Shamli Division’s New Economic Corridor Expressway Ambala-Shamli covers 12 villages in Shamli District and the district administration was asked to take action to acquire land. The 12 villages in the district include 10 villages in Shamli Tehsil, two villages in Oon Tehsil and 30 villages in Saharanpur district.
The distance between Ambala and Chandigarh from Shamli is getting smaller
Pubic. The construction of a six lane expressway will make it easier for the businessmen and entrepreneurs of Haryana and West UP. The route from West UP to Chandigarh, Amritsar, the common capital of Punjab, will be easier. Ordinary citizens will reach Ambala from Shamli in an hour and a half. West UP’s connection with Haryana and Punjab will boost industrial trade. Currently, the residents of Shamli District travel from Shamli to Karnal via Ambala. Which takes two to two and a half hours.
The land of these villages is being bought
The villages in Shamli Tehsil are Gogwan Jalalpur, Abdullapur Mormajra, Qutubgarh, Jamalpur, Titarsi, Thanabhavan Patti, Naugaowa, Patti Kalra, Bhaisani Islampur, Aurangabad Gandveda.
