All parties are busy preparing for the July 3rd elections for Panchayat District President. Meanwhile, workers in the ruling BJP party and their ally Apna Dal SK have become more concerned about the candidate’s name. The potential contenders from both parties have started contacting Lucknow to Delhi to confirm their tickets. Some of them are in Lucknow and others in Delhi.
SP is preparing to work with the help of Nishi Yadav, the wife of Dr. Jitendra Yadav scoring a hat-trick of victory while no other party has opened their ticket. However, individuals associated with the party give their own reasons for the potential contender. The BJP, which won the last time in 1995, this time sent a list of three candidates to the organization. These include Neelam Singh, wife of Ramesh, son of the former MP and Mumbai industrialist Kunwar Haribansh Singh, Ranjana Singh, wife of the outgoing Jalalpur boss Sandeep Singh and Krishna Singh, wife of Amod Singh alias Rinku. According to party sources, one of these names was also set. At the organizational level, too, the potential candidate was given a green signal to join the fight. Thereafter, several meetings were held in favor of the potential candidate with many other veterans, including party MPs, MLAs. The party friends were also enthusiastic because the report of the organization named the best position among the districts of Purvanchal of Jaunpur. Meanwhile, discussions about the occupation of that seat in the account of Apna Dal (Sonelal) under the leadership of Anupriya Patel, an ally in the central and state government, have given the BJP pause for thought. According to Apna Dal S., they had requested seats in Jaunpur, Mirzapur, Banda, Pratapgarh and Farukhabad. But the BJP has agreed to allocate two seats from Jaunpur, Pratapgarh and Banda. After this scent, the employees of Apna Dal SK took action. Apna Dal SK District President Lal Bahadur Patel is also confident of getting the seat. He says that the name of Rita Devi was sent by the organization, while any other name can be agreed at the national level. Dr. Leena Tiwari, the only Apna Dal S MLA in the district, says our preparations for the election are underway. Discussions in this regard also took place in the meeting with the Federal President. Further decisions will be made as soon as the top management has given instructions. On the other hand, BJP District President Pushpraj Singh says that regardless of the instructions from the organizational level, further work will be carried out accordingly. So far, however, they have no such information.
