The Problem Of Electricity Movement In The City

Due to technical problems, electricity remains missing in the city for hours, Lakhimpur Kheri. The movement of electricity remains a major problem for the people. The big reason behind this is old transformers and dilapidated electrical equipment, which fail every day. Due to lack of resources, the government’s claim of 24-hour power supply is proving to be airborne. On the other hand, the situation in the countryside is even worse. They are getting supply only for eight to ten hours instead of 18 hours. There are four power sub-stations for power supply in the city. Most of these equipment are very old and have become dilapidated. Every day there is some technical fault in them. There are about 1100 transformers in the city ranging from 630 kV to 25 kV. Most of these transformers are very old. Everyday incidents of transformer blowing in one or the other area are common. When the heat rises, many transformers get blown up in a day. Sometimes it takes a whole day to repair them. In the sticky heat of the rainy season, people have to face problems. On Friday, the power wire broke near Shahpura Kothi. Due to this, the electricity in that area was cut. It took the electricity department several hours to connect the wires. When the power supply was restored several hours later, the voltage was so low that the fans could be seen spinning. In the afternoon the power went out again for a while. On Friday, people became helpless in the sticky heat of the rainy season. The situation was similar for many other localities as well. The consumption of electricity increases suddenly during the summer season. Its load falls on the transformers. As a result, the process of blowing up the transformers starts. There is only one workshop on Garhi Road in the city for repair of transformers. During the summer, the work load on this work shop also increases. Due to which problems have to be faced every day. The situation is that in the summer season when electricity is needed the most. That’s why people are facing maximum power shortage. Due to the increase in power consumption during the summer season, there is an extra load on the transformers, due to which incidents of transformer blowing are happening. Efforts are made to restore power supply at the earliest by quick repair of transformers.
