Bansdih / Ghogha. The statue of Phoolan Devi, which was brought to Halpur village in the Bansdih Kotwali area for erection, was loaded onto the vehicle and returned by police on Saturday. The statue was brought in without permission from Vikas Insan Party. It was stopped by the police.
A giant statue of Phoolan Devi was put up by VIP (Vikas Vikas Insaan Party) in Halpur on Friday. When the police were informed, they reached the site and refused to install the statue. This created tensions in the village. On the other hand there was also police commissioner Dr. Vipin Tada, District Officer Bansdih Bhushan Verma, on site. I started asking for permission to install the statue. When no documents were presented, the erection of the statue was stopped. Regarding this, Bhushan Verma in charge said that it is illegal for the government to erect a statue for someone without permission. The statue was safely returned.
