The only oxygen gas refill center is located in the village of Sikanderpur Basi on the Najibabad-Bundki road. Harsh Goyal, the owner of the Harsh Goyal Industries Foundation, said that LMO cylinders are being supplied by his agency with the supply of professional oxygen cylinders as required. Due to the corona transition, the demand for LMO gas suddenly increased many times over and caused the oxygen gas crisis. On April 12th, he received about five tons of oxygen gas from the Roorkee Oxygen Manufacturing Center in Uttarakhand. About five days ago, administration completely banned the sale of commercial oxygen gas cylinders, with commercial establishments continuously providing care to nursing homes in need. Gas owner Harsh Goyal claims oxygen cylinders have been made available to hospitals and those in need under the supervision of SDM for the past five days. Despite contacting DI Bijnor and the district administration, the facility does not receive oxygen gas. The agency’s owner claimed that liquid medical oxygen gas was available to the operation at a nominal level. The entire inventory will expire in a day or two.
SDM Parmanand Jha said 172 emergency oxygen cylinders have been made available, with an outright ban on commercial sales of the facility. He said the district administration is making efforts to maintain the availability of oxygen gas in the district.
On the other hand, DI Ashutosh Mishra says the district needs 60 tons of LMO gas per day. Recently, only four tons of oxygen gas were ingested at the Haldor Foundation. He expressed concern about the severity of the oxygen gas crisis and announced efforts to obtain gas from BHEL Haridwar.
