Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files has surprised everyone. The opening day collection of the film is Rs 3.55. It is a spectacular figure, considering the fact that it does not contain any stars. Anupam Kher has given an excellent performance, which many people are comparing with Mahesh Bhatt’s summary. The Kashmir Files is a drama about the genocide of Kashmiri Hindus and their exodus from the Valley. In fact, many of them haven’t returned home at all after that. The film has received good reviews and people have described it as a true, heart-wrenching and brutal story of what happened in the valley.
We have seen the video of Darshan Kumar in which a woman cries and touches Vivek Agnihotri’s feet after the film. He says that apart from him, no one else could have made a film like this. Despite some negative reviews, the feedback is good. Even celebs like R Madhavan, Paresh Rawal and others have praised the film. Today, there are some videos of screenings in Australia. In one of them we can see a foreign woman crying. She said it reminded her of the horrors of the Holocaust.
