In Sanjay Van, Gagol and Kheda Balram, blocks of the forest office have been marked. The most suitable place is Sanjay Van. There used to be a mini zoo here too. The government of Uttar Pradesh has approved the opening of a mini-zoo in Meerut. However, the forestry office has not yet received any written orders in this regard. The DFO said that Sanjay Van might be the best place for this as there is also a mini zoo here. After that, the remaining two places are in Gagol and Kheda Balaram. Sanjay Van covers 12 acres on Delhi Road and was founded as Chetna Kendra in 1982. More than 70 species of birds live here. There are hundreds of species of plants. Speaking of animals, there is a large herd of Nilgai here. There is a wide variety of creatures such as rabbits, foxes and pythons. Nakshatra Vatika was created. There is a swing in the park. There are children’s rooms. This about 20 meters high Meerut Darshan Stambh (watchtower) is dedicated to the Kargil martyr Manoj Talwar. There was also a mini zoo until 1992. There were hundreds of species of birds, deer, rabbits, foxes and even a giant crocodile.
