One such family is that of Chandrapal, a resident of Purbalian. In which 25 members work together and all food is cooked on one stove.
Chandrapal and his wife Omvati, a resident of the village of Purbaliyan, have five sons, Isam Pal, Vishnu, Krishna Pal aka Kala, Arjuna and Anuj. Four sons are married. One son, Anuj, is still single. Chandrapal’s family consists of eight grandchildren and six granddaughters. Chandrapal and his five sons run a restaurant together near Jadauda on the National Highway. All sons and daughters at home do the housework together. The whole family cooks on one stove. Chandrapal says their common family is a happy family. To date there has been no argument about anything in the family.
