A 240 km four-lane highway is being built from the Etawa district to Pilibhit. It is divided into six parts. The Project Implementation Unit (PIU) Farrukhabad and Shahjahanpur have been appointed as developers by the Central Government’s Ministry of Roads and Highways. The unit area of ​​Farrukhabad is 49.220 km on a four-lane highway with a distance of 52.770 km from Bewar to the Ramganga Bridge.
The highway will pass through 35 villages, while the 3.50 km stretch will be in the Mainpuri district. Land is being acquired from four villages in the area. A total of 231.39 billion rupees was tendered for road construction in this project, worth 326 billion rupees. In addition to the motorway, 36 hectares more land are required. It is acquired. PIU has sent ADM a letter about land acquisition from farmers. At the same time, surveying for road construction was started from Beaver. However, depending on the location, the nature of the Fourlane Highway will also change. In some places only a two-lane motorway is being built. For the construction of a four-lane motorway, PIU sought NOC in September 2020 by correspondence with the forestry office. Even after eight months, the production unit still has to get NOC.
