Mainpuri. The government has once again issued instructions to track down the illiterate population in the district. Its responsibility lies with the Office for Basic Education. The BSA asked the district coordinator for integrated education to draw up a list of illiterate people.
The government implemented the Padhega Bharat program. As part of this scheme, work is being done to make illiterate people read. At the direction of the government, the General Director of School Education has requested a list of illiterate people in the district. According to the official website, there are 2900 illiterate people in the district. This department has to find out where and what their names are.
Upon receiving the letter from the Director General of School Education, BSA Vijay Pratap Singh instructed District Integrated Education Coordinator Randhir Bahadur to find illiterate people and compile a list of them.
The incentives have not been extended since 2018
Saakshar Bharat Yojana has been shut down since March 31, 2018. The motivators and block coordinators involved in the program have not been renewed since 2018. His fee for the last 26 months was also not granted. In such a situation, the department’s challenge is to track down the illiterate population in the district.
In the past 2.50 lakhs were made
As part of the Saakshar Bharat Mission program launched in 2010, 2.50 lakhs were trained in the district to read and write after completing their training. They were also given a reading and writing certificate after the exam.
According to the department, there are 2,900 illiterate people in the district. The search for these illiterate people has started. The list will be sent to the government shortly.
