Moradabad. The pillar of the dilapidated building fell on the old Tehsil school of the Nagphani Police Station late Thursday evening. The contractor died after being buried under the rubble. The relatives who refused the autopsy handed over the body without legal action.
Ghulam Nabi, 57, a resident of Baradari Sarai Hussaini in the Nagfani Police Station area, worked as a contractor. Ghulam Nabi had taken on the task of demolishing the old, dilapidated building on the Tehsil school square. Years ago the BSA office was located in this building. Ghulam Nabi has demolished the dilapidated building in the past fifteen days. Family members said that the rubble was removed from the tractor wagon on Thursday evening, at which time Ghulam Nabi was also standing there.
The front part of the tractor got caught in the cable. The cable was tied in the column, causing the column to fall. Ghulam Nabi was buried in it by falling debris. The people present removed the debris and took out the contractor and took him to a private hospital. From here, the contractor was sent to the district hospital in critical condition. Ghulam Nabi died while receiving treatment at the county hospital. Hawthorne police chief Sunil Kumar said the family refused to do autopsies or other measures. If the victim’s family members file a complaint, action will be taken on that basis.
