The budget of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham project, which is being built to integrate Gangdhar with Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, is increased by Rs 40 crore. After a two-day meeting in different phases in Lucknow, the changes in the design were discussed and coordinated. A final decision on the operation of the project is also expected by next week. The budget will be increased by the construction of the gate, the ramp building, the cafeteria at the end of the aisle and the Ganga Darshan gallery on both sides.
A budget of 345 crore has been approved for the construction of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. Several modifications were made in the project to take into account the institutions of the faithful. New aspects have also been added. Underneath, a large gate was given at the end of the road in the DPR of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor, but there was no provision for it towards Ganga. The particular attraction of the project will be in the direction of the Ganges, so it was decided to build a large gate on this side as well. That being said, a budget increase of up to Rs 40 crore has been estimated from the construction of the Ganga Gallery. Divisional Commissioner Deepak Agrawal and other officials attended the meeting in the government on Thursday, and the points of the design change were agreed. The area commissioner said the meeting discussed furniture buying, security and the operation of buildings. Estimated spending is Rs 9 billion on furniture purchases and Rs 5 billion on security.
A consultant is appointed for the operation of buildings
The government has ordered advisors to operate 24 buildings under construction in Kashi Vishwanath Dham. The advisor advises the temple administration on the building’s revenue model. Public-private partnership is used for various activities in order to link the buildings with income. It was also recommended that the temple complex be operated through the Kashi Vishwanath Trust. However, the administration can create a tender for the consultant until next week. On the other hand, a decision on the operation of the buildings is also expected from the government level by next week.
