Shahpur. On Tuesday, 10 couples got married by organizing a program under the prime minister’s mass marriage program at Nagar Panchayat’s office. MLA Umesh Malik and Chairman Pramesh Saini presented government gifts to all newly married couples.
Eight of the ten couples married under the program organized as part of the prime minister’s mass marriage program in Nagar Panchayat’s office were Hindu and two were from the Muslim community. Hindu couples were married according to Vedic chants and Muslim couples were married according to Muslim religion. MLA Umesh Malik, SDM Budhana Ajay Kumar Ambasht, Chairman Pramesh Saini and EO Sudhir Kumar Mishra presented gifts to the newly married couples. In these a check for 35,000 rupees, clothing, jewelry and utensils to the value of 15,000 rupees were made out. Member Umesh Goyal, lawyer Malik, Abdul Kalam Ansari, Sanjay Saudai and senior clerk Naeem Ahmed etc. were present.
