The area under sugarcane is continuously decreasing. Because this cash crop of farmers is constantly becoming a victim of natural calamity. About two lakh twenty two thousand farmers cultivate sugarcane in 1520 sugarcane villages of the district. Due to the continuous loss of sugarcane crop, a situation of dilemma is arising among the farmers. He has suggested the farmers to sow sugarcane of normal variety.
