St. John’s College Admission For B.com 2198 Form For 240 Seats

St. John’s College affiliated to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University has received maximum number of applications in the ratio of seats in undergraduate courses in B.Com course. There are nine applications for each seat. Till Tuesday afternoon, the college had received a total of 2198 applications for 240 seats of B.Com. Applications are being accepted now. The preparation for releasing the merit list is going on in a day or two.
After B.Com, most of the students’ applications have been received for admission in B.Sc. For 180 seats of B.Sc (Mathematics) 1157 applications have been received and for 80 seats of B.Sc. Biology 531 applications have been received. For a total of 260 seats of B.Sc., 1688 students have applied. There are six applications for each seat. The cut off will be higher in both these courses. In BA course also the colleges have received more applications in proportion to the seats. There are 1421 applications for 640 BA seats.
There is a trend among the students for admission in the college’s self financed course BBA. 745 applications have been received for 120 seats of BBA. In this also there are six applications for each seat. The college has got recognition for BCA for the academic session. Applications are being accepted for admission to this course also. Dr. SP Singh, Principal of St. John’s College, says that after doing B.Com, there are more employment opportunities for the students, due to which they turn more towards this course. Secondly, most of the students from families belonging to business class in Agra prefer admission to B.Com. In St. John’s College for a long time, the maximum number of applications are received in the B.Com course in the ratio of seats.
