Nawabganj. In the two-day Taekwondo and Karate National Championship held at Braj Sports Academy in Mathura, the participants of Nawabganj bagged the second position by bringing seven gold and four Rajak medals. The team that returned from the competition was congratulated by the block chief representative. 38 female and 76 male players from Uttarakhand, Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, including UP, participated in the two-day Taekwondo and Karate National Championship in Mathura. Hansika Gaurav, Uphaar Singh, Nilesh Vimal, Suresh Verma, Amit Raput, Rajneesh Rajput and Anukreethy Singh won gold medal from Nawabganj team of Unnao district in Kumeite stunt competition of Taekwondo. Among the women players, Jyoti Gautam, Raj Singh, Naman Dixit and Sharad Chaudhary made the region proud by winning silver medals. The Karate team of Mathura district got the first position in the competition. Gorakhpur team was in third place. Team Manager Priya Savita congratulated all the players.
