Sonbhadra: Number Of Dengue Patients Increased To 17, 15 Patients In Hindalco Area Only


The number of dengue patients is increasing rapidly in Sonbhadra. Two more new patients have been found on Sunday. Both the patients are from Renukoot area. Of the total 17 dengue patients found so far, 15 are from Hindalco region. Two patients have been admitted in Duddhi. With the rapidly increasing number of patients, the concerns of the people have also started increasing. On the other hand, negligence continues. In view of the danger of dengue infection, notices were issued to 26 people.
Till a week ago, there was not a single dengue patient in the district. After this the cases have increased rapidly. According to District Malaria Officer DN Srivastava, so far a total of 17 dengue patients have been identified in the entire district. Of this, 15 are from Hindalco and other areas located around Rihand. Of these, four have been admitted to Hindalco Hospital. Treatment of two is going on in Duddhi CHC. Another patient has been admitted to Jeevan Jyoti Mission Hospital in Robertsganj. Rest of the patients are getting treatment at their home. He said that in view of the infection, spraying of anti-larva is being done in Renukoot, Obra, Chopan, Pipri and Robertsganj municipalities and rural areas. On Sunday, 26 people were given notices. Water was found collected in their house and establishment, in which there was a possibility of mosquito breeding.
