Sonbhadra: License Of Fertilizer Shop Will Be Suspended, Action Taken On Complaint Of Selling At High Price

Sonbhadra. In view of complaints of shortage of fertilizers and sale at arbitrary prices in Kharif season, a campaign was conducted on Sunday at the fertilizer shops in the district. In three tehsils, joint teams of agriculture and revenue officials checked 31 shops in a surprise inspection. Fertilizer samples were taken from the shops. Recommended suspension of the license of one shop on irregularities, while giving strict instructions to nine shopkeepers, they were asked to remove the flaws. On the news of the investigation, many fertilizer vendors ran away after downing the shutters of the shops. Seven shops were investigated in Sadar tehsil. Three samples of manure were taken from here. The SDM warned the two shopkeepers for not fulfilling the rate board, stock board and other standards. In Ghorawal Tehsil, SDM Sushil Yadav and District Agriculture Officer Dr. Harikrishna Mishra inspected 13 shops. Six samples of manure were collected. Warned three shopkeepers. The team, led by SDM Duddhi Ramesh Kumar, collected three samples while examining 11 shops. District Agriculture Officer Dr. Harikrishna Mishra said that the vendors have been instructed to sell the fertilizers at the fixed price and take care of the quality. He appealed to the farmers to take receipt at the time of purchase. Said that if any seller charges more, then immediately complain about it. Action will be taken under the Essential Commodities Act.
