So far, the Maharaja special train has been used 87 times. The first president of the country, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, in 1950. You took this train from Delhi to Kurukshetra. After him, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan in 1977 and Dr. Neelam Sanjiva Reddy with this train. Twenty-six years later, on May 30, 2003, President Abdul Kalam took this train to Bihar. Since then, this special train has been in Delhi even after 18 years.
Now on June 25, 2021, for the first time since the country gained independence, this limousine will be operating on the Delhi-Kanpur railway line. President Ram Nath Kovind will be present at this salon. This day will be even more special for Tundla as this is the first time a president will travel through Tundla after independence.
