Smoke began to come out of the engine of the Kamakhya New Delhi (Brahmaputra Mail) special train that ran from Kamakhya to New Delhi. For this reason, the train stayed parked at the local station for a quarter of an hour on Saturday evening. The employees of the affected department rectified the disturbance, whereupon the train continued.
The Brahmaputra Post from Kamakhya to New Delhi reached platform four of the local train station at 4:23 pm on Saturday. The train opened after the scheduled standstill. Meanwhile smoke was coming out of the engine. There was an uproar over this. The driver informed the inspector of this. Upon investigation by the engineering team that reached the location, it was found that the TDC installed in the galley car had burned. Because of this, smoke began to come out. After that, the problem was fixed by replacing it. Then the train left at five o’clock. Because of the disruption, the train stood on the platform for an extra 15 minutes.
